My daughter wants to wear the school uniform everyday, including weekends too!

การหาโรงเรียนให้กับลูกนั้นต้องยอมรับจริงๆค่ะว่าสุดยาก ใช้เวลาค้นหาอยู่นานค่ะแต่สุดท้ายก็เจอค่ะ เป็นโรงเรียนที่ลูกสาวดิฉันแม้แต่วันเสาร์และวันอาทิตย์ก็ยังต้องขอใส่ชุดนักเรียน เวลาหยุดปิดเทอมก็บ่นว่าเมื่อไหร่โรงเรียนจะเปิด เมื่อกลับบ้านก็จะมีเรื่องเล่าให้ฟังทุกวันในตอนแรกดิฉันก็มองหาโรงเรียนนานาชาติให้ลูกซึ่งโดยปกติแล้วนั้นก็จะสอนทุกวิชาเป็นภาษาอังกฤษและมีวิชาภาษาไทยเป็นวิชาเดียวที่สอนเป็นภาษาไทย หาอยู่นานค่ะ พอดีไปเจอโรงเรียนอยู่ที่หนึ่งอยู่สุขุมวิท 101/1 ( ซอย18) โรงเรียนชื่อ Glory International School ไปดูทีแรกก็ยังนึกในใจค่ะว่าลูกเราจะไหวไหมเพราะเขาสอนสามภาษา อังกฤษเป็นหลัก และมีวิชาภาษาไทย และวิชาภาษาจีนด้วย อีกอย่างที่บ้านก็ไม่มีใครพูดภาษาจีนด้วย

แต่ที่ประทับใจก็คือทางโรงเรียนมีการอนุญาตให้ทดลองเรียนฟรีหนึ่งอาทิตย์ซึ่งไม่มีที่ไหนให้ทำ ก็เลยตัดสินใจให้ลูกสาวเข้าไปลองดูค่ะ หลังจากเริ่มท้อเล็กน้อย ปรากฎว่าลูกชอบทั้งๆที่ลูกเข้ากับคนแปลกหน้ายากนิดหน่อย และรีบตื่นแต่เช้าเพื่อที่จะไปโรงเรียนโดยไม่ต้องปลุก (โดยปกติลูกจะเป็นคนนอนขี้เซาค่ะ) เวลากลับมาถึงบ้านก็มีเรื่องมาเล่าให้ฟังทุกวันโดยเฉพาะว่าเรียนอะไร ทำอะไรมาที่โรงเรียน ที่หน้าแปลกใจ ประทับใจและเป็นปลื้มมากว่านั้นคือระหว่างที่พาลูกไปซื้อผักและผลไม้ลูกชี้ไปที่มะเขือยาวสีม่วงและ พูดกับดิฉันว่า " This is eggplant and its purple " พอไปเจอกล้วยก็สามารถที่จะเรียกชื่อและบอกสีเป็ภาษาอังกฤษได้แถมด้วยคำว่ากล้วยเป็นภาษาจีนอีด้วยเหตุการนี้เกิดขึ้นสามอาทิตย์หลังจากที่ลูกใด้เข้าเรียนและลูกของดิฉันอยู่เตรียมอนุบาลค่ะ ลูกสาวดิฉันแม้แต่วันเสาร์และวันอาทิตย์ก็ยังต้องขอใส่ชุดนักเรียน เวลาหยุดปิดเทอมก็บ่นว่าเมื่อไหร่โรงเรียนจะเปิด เมื่อกลับบ้านก็จะมีเรื่องเล่าให้ฟังทุกวัน

ตอนนี้ลูกสาวก็อยู่อนุบาลหนึ่งแล้วค่ะ และก็ยงพูดไม่หยุดด้วยแถมนำเอาภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาจีนมาสอนทุกคนที่บ้านด้วย ส่วนลูกสาวคนเล็กของดิฉัน (1 ปี 5เดือน) แค่ไปส่งพี่สาวที่โรงเรียนยังใส่ชุดนักเรียนไปทุกวันเลยค่ะ ประทับใจคุณครูค่ะเขาดูแลเด็กได้อย่างทั่วถึงและสามารถเก็บรายละเอียดของเด็กทุกคนได้ ถ้าใครกำลังมองหาโรงเรียนให้ลูกอยู่ก็ลองพาลูกแวะไปดูได้น่ะค่ะ

Finding a school for my daughter is a definitely hard task, and I searched for a long time. But now, I have found the right school for my daughter – a school where my daughter wants to go to even on holidays. I first started my search focusing on international schools, where all of the subjects are taught in English except for Thai classes. I then came across Glory International School, a school located at Sukhumvit 101/1 Road. At first, I was thinking whether my daughter could learn Chinese or not, as nobody in the house speaks Chinese.

However, I was impressed with how the school gave a free 1-week trial for my daughter to try out with learning in the classrooms. It appeared that my daughter liked learning in the classroom. Every morning, she would wake up by herself to get prepared for school. When she comes back from school, she always has something to say about what she did at school and what she learned.What made me happier was that while I brought her to buy vegetable, she pointed at an eggplant and said, “This is eggplant and it’s purple.” She did the same thing when she pointed at a banana, and she also said it in Chinese too. This happened just after three weeks of learning in Nursery class! My daughter wants to wear the school uniform everyday, including weekends too! Every time there is a holiday, she would ask when school will open.

Currently, Tahiti is in Nursery 2, and now she teaches English and Chinese to everyone else in our family. My younger daughter who is 1 year old also wears the GIS school uniform while sending her older sister to school everyday. I am satisfied with how the teachers are focusing on each and every student. If any other parent is looking for a school, give GIS a try.
